Fernvale 4-room BTO
This project is farmhouse themed, with some contemporary touches. The kitchen features a combination of whites, chestnut browns and soft greys. The white cabinetry on the upper half provides a clean, airy feel, with a tinge of barn details at the corner. The chestnut brown lower cabinets adds warmth and a natural element to the space. There is a good addition of open shelves to the otherwise all closed kitchen, providing a nice balance. She curved edge also softens the look of the whole place. The dining table and chairs are also made of wood, ensuring consistency. The table rounded, with a bench on one side and 3 chairs on the other. The chairs are made with thick cushions, giving off a contemporary look. The pendant gives off a rustic charm to the whole place, since it is made of a woven natural material.
Bathroom
Walking into this bathroom looks like you walked into Bali, with the resort like rattan baskets and the woven floor mat, as well as a textured stone-like top mounted sink. The small pendant light provides soft ambient lighting that enhances the bathroom’s tranquil atmosphere. The asymmetrical mirror adds a unique, artistic element to the space. It’s organic form contrasts nicely with the straight lines of the other items.
Living Room
The living room design is simple, but continues to align with the rest of the house. It is in neutral colours, which will definitely create a calming environment. The chair and the shelf at the side is made up of organic materials, such as rattan and textured wood, which gives off a earthly feel, that once again ties in to the farmhouse aesthetics. The mirror by the door has a wavy shape, similar to the style in the bathroom. It gives off a contemporary touch as well. The flat fluted panels gives off a barn look, which completes the whole look of the house.
Walk-in Wardrobe
Contrary to the farmhouse theme throughout the whole house, the walk-in wardrobe’s design style is minimalist and modern. The furniture and cabinetry have simple, sleek lines without too much details, emphasising a clutter free and streamlined look. The predominant use of white creates a bright and airy atmosphere. The lighting embedded in the mirror is both aesthetics and functionality combined. The open pigeonholes at the side provides ample storage space for the otherwise small vanity table. The soft, textured chair contrasts with the smooth and hard surfaces, adding warmth and comfort without overwhelming the simplicity of the design.
